Islamic Arts Society was honored to curate an arts program at the ISNA 55th annual convention held at George Brown Convention Center, this Labor Day weekend. Our artists drew large crowds who were mesmerized by the beauty of Islamic arts. Our live art display of Ebru and Calligraphy was very popular among visitors and the geometric art, Ebru and Calligraphy classes were completely sold out.
The Islamic Arts Society of Houston aims to promote the rich heritage of arts in Islam. The society organizes events to celebrate our culture and promote the positive image of our community among Houstonians. Art is a common language and binds diverse communities. By promoting Islamic arts we hope to promote mutual understanding and to bring the broader Houston community together.
