Junaid Abbasi
Islamic calligraphy is one of the original forms of Islamic art. Traditionally, the different styles of calligraphy are scribed by reed pen and ink. The method that I have adapted is an evolution of a contemporary style of script with a fusion of modern graphic design techniques. Influenced by the traditional Diwani style, I leaned on my architecture and graphic design background to use programs such as Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and 3D Studio Max to design the basic calligraphy script as well as backgrounds that I use in my artwork.
