Islamic Arts Society took part in the Neighborhood Community Day at the Rothko Chapel on the 18th of April. The program was dedicated to art, creativity, and community. Our Artist, Zohra Siddiqui, and Zainab Rumgwala delighted visitors by providing free henna tattoos, while our Calligrapher, Ruquiyya Raj, wrote visitors’ names in beautiful Arabic calligraphy. Despite the harsh weather, people stood in line to take their turns and experience the beauty of Islamic art firsthand.
