The World Refugee Day event was organized jointly by various refugee settlement organizations in Houston. The Islamic Art Society presented calligraphy demonstrations in the program hosted by the Arts Committee at the HPL Express South West Library on June 20th. Calligraphers Sana Mirza & Mustafa Younaszad entertained visitors. It was well received, with community members coming in large numbers to take advantage of our service.
