Zainab Fazalbhoy

Zainab Fazalbhoy was born in Karachi, Pakistan and moved to Houston, Texas in her teens. She received her BBA in both Marketing and Management and an M.Ed in Education all from the University of Houston, but she always had a passion for art and never forgot her roots.

The first exhibit she ever went to, was of the world renowned calligrapher and artist Sadequain at Frere Hall in Karachi, Pakistan.Zainab was also drawn to the colors exhibited in Jackson Pollock and Georgia O’Keefe.

Her work is still in its developmental stages but one can truly see her passion through her expressive bold strokes and vibrant colors. 

Zainab currently works as a teacher in the Houston Independent School District. Her artwork has been exhibited at the annual 2017 Islamic Arts Festival in Houston, the Asia Society and the Houston City Hall.
